My Story
Why Fabric Crackers?
The Fabric Cracker Company was created out of a desire to find a more sustainable way for my family to enjoy traditional Christmas crackers. For many years, I crafted my own crackers using toilet roll tubes and wrapping paper, but I was still dissatisfied with the amount of waste produced. I had seen various fabric crackers online, all of which, although lovely, could not be pulled like a traditional cracker. After much trial and error, I finally developed reusable pullable crackers made from fabric, allowing them to be enjoyed year after year while reducing waste to nearly zero! After a very successful 'cracker pull' one Christmas and making these reusable fabric decorations for a special dinner party, my family and friends encouraged me to consider selling my sustainable Christmas crackers – and here I am!
The Only Fabric Cracker You Will Ever Need, Reusable Year After Year - A Family Heirloom!
All the fabric crackers are handmade by me at home on the family farm in Wales. I use good quality polycotton fabric, satin ribbons, and sturdy cardboard tubes to create these unique decorations. The crackers are plastic-free and reusable time and time again, offering a stylish sustainable alternative to the traditional cracker. They come empty, ready to fill with a gift of your choice, adding a much more personal touch. A supply of snaps is provided so you can enjoy the all-important 'bang' if you choose to. You can purchase these reusable pullable crackers in boxes of 6 but I am happy to work with you on the number you need. I'm also open to considering any particular design, color, or theme you may have in mind. Think of these sustainable Christmas crackers as an investment for years to come, hopefully becoming a much-loved family heirloom.
